87 feared dead in plane crash in Russia
A Boeing-737 airliner on an internal flight crashed in Russia's Siberia region on Sunday and all 87 people on board were believed to have been killed, Russian news agencies reported.
The aircraft, carrying 82 passengers and five crew, was operated by Russia's Aeroflot airline and was flying from Moscow to the Siberian city of Perm when it crashed on landing, the agencies quoted emergency services as saying.
"We have found the aircraft. It came down within the city limits (in Perm) in a patch of waste ground. Initial reports are of no casualties on the ground," Interfax news agency quoted Emergencies Ministry spokeswoman Irina Andrianova as saying.
Ekho Moskvy radio reported that all 87 passengers and crew had been killed in the crash.
